The $1.5 million Premier’s Agriculture and Food Fellowship Program is the centrepiece of the
Science and Agribusiness Connect (SAC) initiative made possible by the State Government’s Royalties for Regions program.
Professor Simon Cook was announced as the Premier’s Agriculture and Food Fellow at the 2016 Premier’s Science Awards. Professor Cook is an expert in agricultural systems and natural resource management. In partnership with Curtin and Murdoch universities he will build and lead a research team in WA to develop the State’s capabilities in big data and agriculture and establish the Centre for Digital Agriculture in WA.
The State Government is currently considering applications for the Premier's Early to Mid Career Fellowship. This position provides an exciting opportunity for an outstanding applied researcher who has completed their PhD within the past 10 years to work with the Premier's Fellow to undertake cutting edge research with Professor Cook and be an ambassador for science in WA.
