The Economic and Expenditure Reform Committee (EERC) consists of the Treasurer (Chair), Premier, Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Planning, Minister for Mines and Petroleum and Minister for Finance.
The EERC considers all policy issues with financial implications and recommends a course of action to Cabinet on these issues. The principal function of the EERC is the formulation of the annual State Budget. Outside the budget process the EERC monitors the delivery of strategic Government commitments, the achievement of Government desired outcomes and other matters with major financial and/or economic impacts.
The EERC Handbook is designed to assist Ministers and agency officers in understanding the EERC process and the preparation of papers for submission to the EERC.
