The Protocol Branch liaises on behalf of the Premier on any matters concerning the Consular Corps in Western Australia.

The Branch:

  • coordinates responses to requests from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for information on the Western Australian Government's views on proposed consular appointments

  • maintains an up-to-date list of consular representatives in the State

  • arranges calls, as requested, by newly appointed consular representatives on the Governor, Premier and other official office-holders.

Members of the Consular Corps in Western Australia requiring assistance are welcome to contact the Protocol Branch.

Acknowledgement of Country

The Government of Western Australia acknowledges the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to the land, waters and community. We pay our respects to all members of the Aboriginal communities and their cultures; and to Elders both past and present.
