 Graduate Development Program



Who are we looking for?

The Department requires people with a wide range of experience and is particularly interested in employing recent university graduates who enjoy working in a team environment, can adapt quickly to change and have excellent communication skills, initiative and determination. As future leaders in the public sector, passion, commitment and a thirst for knowledge are essential.

Eligibility - To be eligible for our two program categories, applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have applied for Permanent Residency.

 

Stream 1 - Graduate Development Program – (3 year degree minimum eligibility)

To be eligible to apply, graduates must have recently completed at leaast a three-year degree, or will complete one of these qualifications in the year the positions are advertised.  Successful applicants will have achieved consistently high academic results and have some limited work experience.

Stream 2 - Indigenous Australian Graduate Development Program – (3 year degree minimum eligibility) (Section 50(d) Equal Opportunity Act 1984)

To be eligible to apply, graduates must be Indigenous Australians and have recently completed a three-year degree or higher, or will complete one of these qualifications in the year the positions are advertised.  Successful applicants will have achieved consistent academic results and have limited work experience.
