Consular
The Department's Protocol Branch liaises on behalf of the Premier on any matters concerning the Consular Corps in Western Australia.
The Branch:
- coordinates responses to requests from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for information on the Western Australian Government's views on proposed consular appointments;
- maintains an up-to-date list of consular representatives in the State;
- arranges calls, as requested, by newly appointed consular representatives on the Governor, Premier and other official office-holders; and
- assists with the licensing of motor vehicles and authorises issue of special licence plates for consular officials.
