About the Department
The Department of the Premier and Cabinet has undergone considerable change since its beginnings as the Premier’s Department with a staff of five in 1898.
The current Department of the Premier and Cabinet was established in 2001 under the Public Sector Management Act 1994.
The Department is responsible to the Premier, the Honourable Colin Barnett MLA.
We are responsible for providing the administration of executive government services and Government policy management.
The Department’s staff are located in several locations across Perth, with the primary location being Dumas House at 2 Havelock Street, West Perth.
